Among my favorite new programs that started last Spring and coil is a crime series called Castle. The program is on every Mon night on ABC and runs for one hour from ten to 9 pm EST. The show is a comedic theatre that is based on a famous mystery copy writer, Rick Castle, who helps the New York Law enforcement Department homicide squad solve crimes. It profiles his work life as well as somewhat of his own life and brings the 2 together. play now
Actor Nathan Fllion plays Rick Fort, that is having a difficult time completing his works of fiction. After killing off the key character in his literature, he struggles to come up with an alternative. This individual is approached by the actual attractive Detective Kate Beckett (played by actress Stana Katic) of the NYPD to help catch the “copy-cat” killer who executes murders based on points from his novels.
Fortress is an extremely funny guy and not a conventional investigator. His approach to solving criminal offenses conflicts with Beckett’s more conservative approach, which causes amusing interaction between two of them. Although there is no overt relationship going on together, the viewer is lead to assume that it can occur at any moment.
Both Fillion and Katic feed off the other person which makes the show a pleasure to watch. The show is a perfect balance between interaction of the two main characters and the weekly crimes they must solve. This dramatic humourous is very entertaining and I look forward to watching it every week.
